ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1.  Dr H made some announcements & Jeff & Adam went over how they graded assignments I-1 and G-2.

2.  Dr H wrapped up Topic #5 on the Electromagnetic Spectrum and continued with a presentation on Topic #6  The Radiation Laws 

Students used the RESPONDERS to answer questions in the presentation.  In the posted presentation below, the RED arrow or bar represents the CORRECT answer to each question:

2. We ran out of time at the end for the very important SUMMARY OF KEY CONCEPTS , you can find them at the end of the presentation.  Dr H will go over these next Tuesday.

3.   Students who stayed until the bitter end for this VERY IMPORTANT lecture earned one Active Participation point!  Thanks for being such an attentive class!

•(1)  RQ-2 was due at NOON today.   If you had a problem and didn't take it or finish taking it, submit an RQ Absolution Form

(2) • ASSIGNMENT I-2 Sun Safety & the Electromagnetic Spectrum is now posted under ASSIGNMENTS in D2L – It's due Tue Sep 19th.

(3) •TEST # 1 is next THURSDAY, Sep 14th  -- the "Top 10 Things to Study" will be posted this weekend in D2L under STUDY GUIDES

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY:  

• Review  Class Notes pp 35-43 very carefully
• Review the presentation on Topic #6 , the Radiation Laws Presentation .  NOTE:  this was one of the most important lectures this semester for understanding nearly every global change issue -- and there will be several questions on TEST #1 that relate to the concepts in RQ-1 and the presentation on Topics #5 & #6.
