Student Guide for Degree Progress
New Student Information
Welcome, new students! We hope this information will help you become more familiar with University and Departmental services, requirements, and potentially more. The information is roughly listed in chronological order of importance.- UA NetID
- Establishing a UA NetID (used for "WebAuth" logins) is very important for progressing since many UA forms and services require that you have one.
- So, create your NetID as soon as possible.
- If you forgot or never received your PIN, call (520) 621-3471 and visit the Registrar's PIN information page.
- UA Email
- You are required to have a University of Arizona email account (the address looks like username@email.arizona.edu or username@u.arizona.edu). Important official email notices may be sent to students periodically, and it is your responsibility to monitor your UA email account for such messages.
- Student Link (Registration, Grades, Finances...)
- Remember that you can register for classes, check your grades, account balance, financial aid status, and much more using Student Link. It is an important tool of which you should be familiar.
- Student Link can be found on the front page of www.arizona.edu or by visiting https://studentlink.arizona.edu/
- Schedule of Classes (Course Availability)
- When registering, you can see which classes are available by checking the Schedule of Classes which can be found on the front page of www.arizona.edu
- Graduate College
- When you applied as a student, you more likely visited www.grad.arizona.edu, the Graduate College web site. Keep this site close as a student, because as you near completion of your degree, many forms will be needed from there, not to mention the incredibly helpful information and services provided.
